2 – Artist’s Statment
It’s extremely difficult to put into words what I’m trying to accomplish with my art. The following seven quotations sum up both my general beliefs about art and my feelings about creating my own art.

Mahatma Gandhi
The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration.
Frida Kahlo
Don’t look for obscure formulas or mystery in my work. It is pure joy that I offer you. Look at my sculptures until you see them. Those closest to God have seen them.
Brancusi
Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better.
Andre Gide
Another unsettling element in modern art is that common symptom of immaturity, the dread of doing what has been done before.
Edith Warton
The mistake any artist can make is trying too much to be liked.
Gary Schandling
Art is never finished, only abandoned.
Leonardo da Vinci
